ZK Results – Attorney Aaron Weiss Obtains Defense Win in Auto Negligence Jury Trial
(Pittsburgh, PA) (May 2017). After a two day civil jury trial in the Court of Common Pleas of Beaver County, Pennsylvania, Zimmer Kunz attorney Aaron Weiss obtained a defense verdict for the insured in a rear-end automobile accident. The Plaintiffs presented evidence of damages arising from the accident, including pain and suffering, lost wages, and loss of consortium. The Defense stipulated to liability for the accident, but presented evidence of photographs showing minimal damage to the vehicles, a prior history of similar medical issues to the plaintiff, and tax returns that did not support the alleged amount of lost wages. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the Defendant, finding that he was not a factual cause of any harm to the Plaintiffs.
