Ms. Stewart’s practice focuses on the following areas:

Land Use: Representing commercial entities in oil and gas litigation, easement negotiation, eminent domain, as well as representation of clients in cases involving municipal law, zoning, and appellate practice.

General Commercial and Tort Litigation: Products liability, toxic tort, insurance litigation, special education litigation, and general liability.

Employment: Defended various for-profit and non-profit companies in employment matters, including discrimination, wrongful termination, FLSA claims, unemployment, and non-compete litigation.

  • Obtained summary judgment for commercial client in lawsuit involving flood damages arising from NPDES permitting issues
  • Obtained partial summary judgment for manufacturer client that dismissed claims of $2 million dollars in lost profits based on limitation of damages clause
  • Assisted in successful condemnation proceedings for various pipeline entities
